Manage SMB Sessions and Files on Nano Server 2016

In my previous article I’ll show you how to create a SMB File Share on Windows Nano Server 2016. In this article I’ll show you how to view and close open files and sessions on Windows Nano Server 2016.

Once your Windows Nano Server 2016 is configured, you can connect to it using PowerShell Direct or PowerShell Remoting.

Connect to your Windows Nano Server 2016, using the following command:

To view all open session, use the following PowerShell command:

To close specific session, for example SessionID 68719476785, use the following PowerShell command:

To close open file, use the following PowerShell command:
